Jack Treloar was unbeatable in MX2 at the Southern Series motocross round at Poolburn in Central Otago on Sunday 18 October, winning all three races for a perfect 150 points.

Alex Garland chased him home in the first two MX2 races and finished second overall on 128 points. Ryan Harris was third on 124, with Cooper Kennedy fourth and Max Pagan fifth.

Treloar, who races for CML KTM Racing, finished fifth in MX1 at this year's New Zealand Motocross Championship.

MX1 went to Jack Symon, a week after he topped the class at the Clutha round. The Invercargill rider was third in race one, won race two and finished second in race three, just 0.116 seconds behind Hayden Smith at the flag. That gave him 134 points to Harris's 128, with Caleb Warren third on 106.

Smith won races one and three but did not score in race two, which left him fourth overall on 100 points, ahead of Max Winders on 96.

Harris raced both senior classes and was on the podium in each, second in MX1 and third in MX2. He finished second, second and third in the three MX1 races.

In the junior classes, Lockie Milne won all three 14-16 years 250cc races for 150 points, from Flynn Roskam and Jack Robinson. Levi McMaster won the 12-16 years 125cc class on 144 points, ahead of Nicholas Oakshott and Flynn Croucher.

Rex Flanagan scored a perfect 150 in the 8-11 years 85cc class, from Charlie Rabbette and Cooper Given. The 12-16 years 85cc class was close, with Zach Roberts on 126 points, two clear of Korvin McHardy, and Nico McMaster third on 120.

Ben Kyle won all three Vets 40+ races, from Caleb Holmes and Sean McCarroll, and Dylan Canton topped Senior Support. The mini classes raced at nearby Ida Valley Station the same day.

The 48th Southern Series finishes at Lee Stream on 7 November, hosted by the Mosgiel club.
